Please read the following statements carefully and verify that you understand the information presented below by clicking the acknowledgement checkbox at the bottom of the page. You will not be allowed to continue until the box has been checked.

Florida Residency for Purposes of Tuition Assessment and Payment: Students attending any postsecondary educational institution in the State of Florida must show proof of Florida residency in order to be assessed in-state tuition and fees at a public institution or to receive State provided financial assistance dollars at public or private institutions. All applicants are classified as non-resident until residency declaration information is received and approved.

A Florida Resident for tuition purposes is a person who has, or a dependent person whose parent, legal guardian or spouse has established and maintained legal residence in Florida for at least 12 months prior to the first day of the term for which he/she is enrolling.
The residency declaration for tuition purposes form is available at this link. Any student who has been classified as non-resident for tuition purposes and who wishes to request re-classification to resident-status must also use this form and submit documentary evidence supporting the reclassification. In the case of a student applying for readmission and requesting re-classification of resident-status, the residency declaration form and supporting documentation must be submitted in the term PRIOR to the term for which such re-classification is sought.
Confidentiality of Student Records: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 ( FERPA) provides that directory information may be released to the general public upon request unless the student has requested in writing that some or all of the information not be released. The form needed for registering this request is available from the Office of the Registrar.
Student Disabilities: Any student with a disability who wishes to request accommodations, assistance, or information should contact the NFCC Office of Student Disability Services at (850) 973-1611 (TTY).
Collection of Student Social Security Numbers: Florida Statute 119.071(2)(a)(II) authorizes NFCC to collect and use your SSN to perform the College's duties and responsibilities for the following purposes: student record management; identification and verification; tracking; management of Veteran’s Benefit programs (also mandated by 38 USC 3471); and reporting to authorized agencies of the State and Federal government (also authorized by 26 USC 6050S). To protect your identity, NFCC will maintain the privacy of your SSN and will not release it to unauthorized parties. The College assigns you a unique student identification number which is used for educational purposes at NFCC, including access of your college records.
Should any of the information you provide in the application change prior to your enrollment at the college, you must notify the Office of Admissions, in writing, as soon as possible.
Please understand that the application fee you submit with your application is nonrefundable.
